Seth Kane stood there and watched his mother die. It wasn't the first time, he had lived through this scene before. In fact, they had haunted his nights for the past fourteen years. Seth was standing a good ten feet away from the pool's edge, and yet, his mother's struggling face seemed close enough to touch. She was drowning. Her hand shot up at him, out of the water, her face begging for him to help her. Seth wanted to grab her hand. Every night he relived this nightmare he wanted to grab her hand and pull her out of that watery grave. But he could not, he was a sixteen year-old trapped in the dream world body of a two year old. He felt weak and helpless. Seth stood there and watched his mother die...again.
